Allison Rogers will be discussing design thinking and how this creative process allows us to develop better products and services. She’ll reflect on how the emphasis on empathy leads design thinkers to delve into the minds of consumers and truly examine their needs in a new and effective light. This method of thinking highly encourages open-mindedness and freedom in expressing new types of ideas when solving a problem. At this event you’ll get acquainted with the design thinking process, see examples from Allison’s work with Design Thinking Cincinnati and beyond, and practice new concepts in an interesting, related exercise.
Allison Rogers is the co-founder and co-organizer of Design Thinking Cincinnati. Her background is both in design and business, as she holds an MBA with a concentration in Marketing and an undergraduate degree in commercial interior design. Her background in both design and business led her to embrace design thinking and made her eager to work with like-minded individuals. She is also the Director of Marketing for Merrick, a healthcare supplier.
