Topic: Crack the Storytelling CODE
Facilitator: Michael Davis, Speaking CPR
Business storytelling has become popular (again). Unfortunately, many branding efforts and marketing campaigns are falling short with their stories. That’s because they’re missing key elements which make them memorable and impactful.
As a result, organizations may be not be getting the return on their investments which they expect. They are missing opportunities to expand their reach and stand out from competitors.
In this half-hour presentation, you will pick up three key ideas:
- Why stories work
- How to deepen impact with this overlooked aspect of storytelling
- How to create a faster connection with this often-missing type of conflict
When you leave this session, you will understand how to implement these proven critical elements that work in all type of business stories, whether developing a unique brand, selling a product or service, or creating a campaign.
Michael Davis Bio – In 1994, Michael Davis was threatened with being fired because his presentations were, in a word, lousy. This led him to Toastmasters International, where he discovered a passion for public speaking. He learned that crafting and delivering impactful speeches and stories is a learnable skill. He also discovered that he had a gift to help others improve these skills. That inspired him to create his company, Speaking CPR.
Michael is the author of ‘THE Book on Storytelling’ and the Kindle series ‘Sell More with Stories.’ He’s been a guest on podcasts like ‘The Business of Story,’ ‘Speaker Match Radio’ and ‘Speaking of Wealth’ as well as WLWT’s Issues program.
Michael works closely with companies and speakers all over the world to prepare them for keynote speeches, Ted X talks, and management and sales presentations.
