B2B Marketing Community
Topic: Will your website cause your company to be sued or fined?
Facilitators: Kayla Brighter, Megan Logsdon and Mark Miller with US Digital Partners
If you haven’t heard about digital compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), you will by the end of 2019. More than 1,000 lawsuits were filed against businesses for not having ADA compliant websites — and that was just in the first half of 2018. The cost to small businesses? More than $50,000 per case on average.
Even if you’re not worried about the legal ramifications, it’s just good practice to reach as many customers as possible. Digital governing bodies have set standards for accessibility on the web, and USDP has helped dozens of companies create compliant websites.
In this AMA B2B Community session, Kayla Brighter (Interactive Designer) and Megan Logsdon (Interactive Developer) will join Mark Miller (Partner) to help you learn more on how to make your website more accessible.
Topics we’ll cover include:
- History and ADA basics
- ADA dos and don’ts and levels of compliance
- What you can do with a new website to be more accessible
- How can you retrofit an existing site to be more accessible
About this Community: Provides relevant and timely B2B resources, insights, and interaction to an ever-expanding group of attendees in a collegial, real-world, problem-solving environment. Meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of the month.
