B2B Marketing Community

Topic: Your customers have app fatigue, so why are you still building them?
Facilitators: Steve Hennegan and Katie Pohlman from Gaslight, an agile software development consultancy

The user experience is more than just using an app, as marketers you have an opportunity to take technology and apply it to real life problems. If you want your app to stick, you need to add value to your users life past the initial download. That leads us to the question, why are you building one in the first place?

Key Takeaways: Checklist/graphic: How to know if building an app is best for your business

Steve Hennegan
As the Director of Sales, Steve is responsible for revenue generation, new business acquisition, and internal process implementation at Gaslight. His genuine love for sales was often displayed in his previous roles as a national sales executive in the enterprise software space (previously at Xpertdoc Technologies and Sovos Compliance), and he is constantly looking for new and better ways to create value for prospects and clients throughout the sales process. Steve has a passion for helping individuals and companies develop solutions for complex challenges and is energized by connecting people who can benefit mutually from an introduction.

Katie Pohlman
Katie headed to college with a trio of career possibilities in her head: teacher, physical therapist or designer. She settled on the latter because it allowed her to engage both the left and right sides of her brain on a daily basis. At Gaslight, she loves to combine pragmatic problem solving with creativity as she designs digital products for clients large and small. You might find her sketching out user flows, creating style guides or building out screens in HTML and CSS. No matter the task, she’s constantly asking herself: Will this make sense to the user?

About this Community: Provides relevant and timely B2B resources, insights, and interaction to an ever-expanding group of attendees in a collegial, real-world, problem-solving environment. Meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of the month.
