Digital Marketing SIG
Topic: Building a Content Strategy for People, Not Robots
Facilitator: Allison Chaney, Founder and Managing Director of Bare Knuckle Digital (A Red212 Agency), Digital Marketing Director of Red212
Since the beginning of time (in internet years) we’ve heard the mantra “content is king”. But what does that really mean? Allison will share insights on why content is king (and always will be) and how to approach content in ways that make the most sense for your business.
If you build a good user experience, you will earn and keep loyal customers by utilizing your website as a money-making marketing vehicle. At the root of that is great content. We must be mindful of the robots, because after all, that’s how Google knows what your site is about. We must also be mindful of our users, and engage them in a conversation that leads to conversion. In our discussion you’ll learn:
- Why keywords and themes are important
- What type of content should you create
- Inspiration for content topics
- Examples of good and not so good content
- Where should you post this content
- How do you get people to find it?
