Virtual Reality: Give Your Consumer the Ultimate Storytelling Experience
How can virtual reality (VR) connect your brand to consumers? Immersion is quickly becoming one of the best ways to combine entertainment and education. It possesses the power to put the user in someone else’s shoes and/or in rare and unique experiences. Virtual reality is already available, and allows you to hike on the surface of Mars or experience what a medical patient may be going through.
VR is a fast growing market on the tipping point of mass consumer adoption, but how do you develop a VR experience? In this presentation and demonstration, Branden will share a brief history and general background about virtual reality (VR), best practices for developing these experiences and how companies can harness VR’s immersion powers to connect with consumers on a deeper level.
Branden Middendorf, co-founder of Gear5 Media and Gamemaster.me, both game development and game experience companies, graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Media Informatics from Northern Kentucky University while focusing on Game Design and Visual Effects. Branden has a passion for developing game applications to enhance the learning process. He has been studying and working in VR for more than three years and will soon be launching a new start up to create STEM-based educational games.
