How Marketing Can Help Sales Be Successful

Marketing and sales continue to become more aligned as both the tools and techniques of both organizations improve.  While marketing sees itself continuing to establish the company’s brand and value, the are a number of areas where marketing can both assist sales and become more aligned with sales.  Improving the collaborative effort between the organizations can go a long way to helping the business be successful.

 

Through this discussion, Don will share several areas that sales needs to continually be successful with and how marketing can hel sales be successful.  There are numerous activities that sales performs in their daily activities that marketing can actually be of assistance.  Some of the key areas are who to talk with, understanding the right discovery questions to ask, and what are some of the key areas of value that sales can reinforce.  With both organizations assisting one another, both have a greater opportunity to succeed.

 

Biography:  Don has enjoyed a twenty-five plus year career in sales, marketing, international management, and sales development.  His sales and sales management experience include selling and managing a variety of software solutions including systems software, applications, data base products, and data warehousing solutions.

In 2001, Don started Sales Engineering Group to help people in the B2B arena improve sales volumes and sales predictability by applying engineering principles to sales process, sales forecasting, and value communication.  He has shown a wide range of clients in both domestic and international markets how to apply customer-focused sales process, accountability, and creativity to improve customer acquisition and retention and to reduce churn to enhance revenue growth..
