Sales & Marketing Leadership SIG
Topic: Why Sales Is Content Marketing’s Best Friend
Facilitator: Megan Smale, Marketing Manager, The Devine Group
Content marketing is the kale of the digital marketing world: you know it’s good for you, but you’re not really sure that you’re buying all of the benefits. And also, it’s a huge pain to get right. A half-baked content marketing strategy is almost worse than no strategy at all – it wastes a lot of resources and can make you look worse in front of your audience. But what if there was a team within your company that understood what resonated with your audience? A team that talked to customers every single day and knew what their questions were? Hopefully you see where this going: your sales team is your biggest asset to getting a strong content marketing program off the ground.
In this presentation and discussion, Megan Smale will share how you can tap into the resources of your sales team and create a stronger content marketing program that will be leaner and optimized for your audience. Attendees will discover easy resources to get a content marketing program off the ground and ways to make that content work harder by tying the work of marketing into the actions of the rest of the business.
