That was Kroger’s OptUp story. At our March Trailblazer Series event, Richard Hall from 84.51° will give a deep dive into the Kroger OptUp app and how the program came to be. Born out of an internal call for innovation, it has quickly become a fantastic tool for internal Kroger employees and external customers alike.

The Speaker – Richard Hall
Vice President of Digital & Wellness – 84.51˚
As Vice President of Digital & Wellness, Richard Hall focuses his efforts on identifying new and innovative ways to leverage data science to optimize patient experiences and ultimately help them lead healthier lives.
In his current role, he oversaw the creation of a new email personalization program and a customer-first pricing strategy for Vitacost.com. Hall also led a digital personalization team which integrated real-time personalization capabilities across all Kroger digital platforms. Additionally, he created an innovation framework and infrastructure to accelerate digital innovation at 84.51° Hall has spent more than 15 years focused on how customer insights can help retailers and brands achieve sustainable business growth. During his tenure with dunnhumbyUSA, Hall worked closely with The Kroger Co. to identify new multi-channel growth opportunities. He was also an integral part of the core team that developed the go-to-market strategy behind the ClickList initiative.
Hall holds a Master of Arts with Honors in Geography from the University of Oxford in Oxford, United Kingdom.
