The Value of Getting Involved

AMA Cincinnati runs like a business, thanks to our dedicated volunteers and partners alike who help us in all of the ways possible to run like a business. Our volunteers come from a variety of roles, organizations and life stages, bringing with them different skills, perspectives, attitudes and experiences that ultimately help our chapter be better. But it’s far from “what you do for us” – getting directly involved as a volunteer can open doors for you. The more you participate, the more you gain. And we have volunteer roles at all levels of commitment from periodic to ongoing.

Why Join a Committee

Demonstrate your expertise, build credibility, work directly with hiring managers and high-potential candidates. ONLY MEMBERS have the chance to get directly involved in leading, executing and innovating one of the most respected AMA chapters in the country. Committee involvement usually requires 1-3 hours a week (but can be less or more as your need, interest and availability dictate), and we are happy to work with you directly to identify or even create just the right role and level of involvement.

Committees

Committees give each member volunteer a forum to demonstrate their individual talents and skills, learn new skills, and lend a hand where they can add the most value.  Most Committees meet regularly, often in a social setting, and our volunteers consistently rank among the most satisfied and engaged in our member surveys.

There’s something for everyone, and we’ll make room on any committee for you. Just let us know what you want to learn, practice, or lead and we’ll go from there!
