We have all been carefully following the news about the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and as our community, our country, and world at large are grappling with this issue of enormous scale and human impact, our hearts go out to all those who have been affected.

We are steadfastly committed to the health and safety of our members, volunteers, and neighbors. Therefore, we are postponing any and all in-person events or pivoting those planned events into virtual delivery through the remainder of our chapter’s fiscal year (June 30, 2020).

What makes our AMA Chapter so special is the sense of belonging we get through networking and attending events. We have quite the challenge ahead of us. We are committed to maintaining community will through this time of uncertainty by leveraging alternative channels including live webinars, virtual chat communities, and videos.

Here are a few ways to stay connected with the Cincinnati Marketing Community:

  • We are hosting several of our originally planned in-person programs virtually. See below for specifics for the next week. We’ll continue to update as we pivot on the remainder of our programming.

  • Join our Slack community! Follow this link to do so.

  • This is where we want to hear from you: What else? I’d love to chat about how we can add value to you and your team during these uncertain times. Whether you have ideas for AMA, need career advice or are just looking for someone to collaborate with as you’re working remotely, let’s chat! Email me, and let’s set up a virtual Zoom coffee chat, at president@amacincinnati.org

Sincerely,

Justine Daley, President, AMA Cincinnati

An update on March events

3/17: Customer Experience and Crisis Management – Join us virtually!

With the coronavirus threat looming, global data security breaches, and natural disasters, many companies are having to alter their messaging platforms and consider the effects of an outside threat on their customer base.

Customer experiences have also evolved in the digital era with many options and avenues to provide feedback, reviews, and sometimes backlash.

Dan O’Keeffe, CEO & President of O’Keeffe PR and Marketing Solutions, will walk us through several examples of companies managing crises and how this can play out in B2B and B2C marketing.

Register here and receive a link to join us virtually.

3/18: Job Transition Group – Canceled

This month’s Job Transition Group is canceled. We look forward to bringing our community back together once we’re able to return to in-person events. Please email Pat Frew (pfrew@cbcky.com) though for any one to one conversations/help he can provide as you are in transition.

3/25: Marketing Research Community | Topic TBD – Join us virtually!

Community for marketers and marketing researchers to network and discuss innovation, marketing research trends, and methodologies.

Register here and receive a link to join us virtually.

We want to thank you so much for your interest and engagement, not just now, but always. This is a crazy time, and we want to stay connected even as we honor expert guidance for social distancing and general public safety.

Follow our event calendar, our social media, or subscribe to our email list for updates as we push ahead during this uncertain time.
