We are honored and grateful to have WKRC, Local 12 Consumer Reporter, and Anchor Cassy Arsenault with us tonight to keep things lively and on track.

THANK YOU

WKRC, Local 12 Consumer Reporter, and Anchor Cassy Arsenault

Cassy Arsenault is a passionate fact finder committed to reporting news that you can use. An overly optimistic attitude, and a relentless curiosity is what brought her all over the United States in her journalism career. She’s currently the consumer anchor and reporter at Local 12. Arsenault is a 4-time Emmy nominated journalist, and named SPJ Ohio’s best general assignment reporter two years in a row. She has an affinity for the business and marketing community, and all the innovation they provide to their communities.

Cassy most recently reported for NBC 10 Boston covering important news stories such as the Merrimack Valley explosions, 2019 college admissions bribery scandal and New Hampshire primary.

While in Boston, she created a series on women-owned businesses in the Boston area called BossTown. The series ran 30 episodes long and told the inspirational journey of women all across Massachusetts that have made their dreams come true in varying industries.

Cassy began her career working for Good Morning America and Nightline as an associate producer. She worked on top stories varying across topics like the Newtown shooting, Hurricane Sandy and Camp Lejeune water contamination.

Cassy moved from behind-the-camera to in front and worked as an anchor in Monterey, California. She reported on the Boston Bombings for her station by cellphone as she was running the marathon that year and was 75 feet from the finish line when the second bomb went off.

After 18 months out west, Cassy moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan and spent nearly three years there as investigative reporter and anchor. Cassy had the opportunity to feature a Michigan man who founded one of the first hospitals in the village of Werkok in South Sudan. She took a month-long trip living in Tukul to document the story. Cassy filmed, edited, wrote and hosted a five-part series focused on the pros and cons of American funded projects for healthcare in Werkok.

When she’s not holding people accountable for her story of the day, Cassy enjoys hiking, fly-fishing, working out in any and all forms, canoeing, snowboarding, snow-shoeing, reading, spending time with close family and friends and traveling. Cassy is always looking for her next adventure or challenge whether it’s skydiving, waterfall repelling. canyoneering, marathoning, obstacle racing or zip lining. She is up for a challenge.

Cassy most recently finished a month-long solo camping trip through Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona where she completed challenging hikes like Angel’s Landing at Zion National Park.
