CPS serves about 36,000 students in 66 schools across Cincinnati. With a focus on Academics, Behavior, and Culture through the lens of the district’s strategies, as they support the board’s Goals and Guardrails, CPS ensures students graduate prepared to enroll in college, enlist in the military, or become employed.
At Cincinnati Public Schools, our marketing and communication efforts are designed to encourage parents and guardians to learn about current school programs and trends impacting students’ future choices, connect with school educators, and commit to sharing the academic journey together with their children. CPS Office of Marketing and Communications is a committed team of creative problem-solving experts using knowledge and storytelling to inspire, inform, empower, and engage our students, families, staff, and community. OMC’s work strengthens and maintains a transparent culture built on promoting brand equity and customer service through simple goals, objectives, tactics, and measurements.
The Kenton County Public Library serves the entire community, promoting literacy and lifelong learning and inspiring imagination through a wide variety of resources and services. We help people connect — in person and online — with welcoming, safe places that encourage exploration, celebrate discovery, and expand opportunities for individual and communal growth.
The Kenton County Public Library’s Book Bench team, led by Robin Klaene, brought a community-driven project to life. Supported with a grant from the city of Covington and by key individuals who shared insights from previous initiatives, the team formulated a plan. Heather Elstun set artistic parameters, Mike Blum managed logistics, partnering with Two Men and a Truck for bench transportation. Gina Stenger handled PR and social media for the project leading up to the Book Bench Reveal event, which coincided with National Library Week. Their work resulted in beautiful benches being placed throughout the City of Covington last spring.
