Client Overview
Founded in 2007, The HELP Program inspires hope for people who have been convicted of a felony
This faith-based community provides mentoring and resources to find and sustain employment, allowing members to become financially stable and contributing members of our society.
Problem Statement
With a limited staff to focus on marketing efforts, The HELP Program came to us with three challenges:
- Creating messaging to share how their program changes lives with employment, training, and mentorship
- Highlight their car donation program
- Engaging existing donors with the goal of increasing donations
Outcomes
The team utilized a variety of communication tools to tell The HELP Program’s story and to bring ongoing impact to the program:
- Social Media
- The team updated The HELP Program’s Facebook cover photo and logo, posted content on a regular basis, built a social media library and created a YouTube channel, leading to a 300% increase in reach, 239% increase in pageviews and a 47% increase in new likes
- Communication Review/Strategy
- Launched a year-in-review video, developed social content for the car donation program, created a “how you can help” flyer, proposed a content calendar, provided recommendations for the newsletter
- New Marketing Content
- Created tools to recognize and celebrate donors
- Public Relations
- Created a media contact list (including podcasts) as new outlets to tell the story, send a graduation press release and received coverage on WLWT
