Transforming Cincinnati: The Pinnacle Moment
When you think of a transformative Cincinnati moment, what comes to mind?
Think back to 2015, when the Cincinnati Reds and the City of Cincinnati hosted the 86th Major League Baseball All-Star Game at Great American Ball Park, showing off the Queen City in the national media spotlight.
Fast forward to 2017, when a tiny Nile hippo named Fiona was born six weeks early at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden. For the weeks, months, and even years that followed, millions cheered along as the zoo’s incredible care team, along with partners from across the city and country, worked around the clock to nurse Fiona to health, making mammal history and sparking a global sensation. (We’re all #TeamFiona.)
Later that same year, Blink Cincinnati transformed 20 blocks across Downtown and Over the Rhine with art and light, bringing an estimated one million people to the city to enjoy these spectacular, interactive displays and breaking the record for the largest crowd ever in the urban core. (P.S. We can’t wait for Blink to return this October!)
Moments like these have an impact on our lives. They inspire our city to do more and be more. They were moments that made us proud to be Cincinnatians.
Introducing…the Pinnacle Moment
At our annual Pinnacle Awards, marketers, business leaders, and community members come together to celebrate work that has elevated the role of marketing in Greater Cincinnati, as well as work that has elevated the region itself. It’s one of our favorite nights of the year—one that radiates pride in Cincinnati.
For the numerous award categories, we recognize outstanding marketing strategy and execution from the previous calendar year.
This year, the AMA Cincinnati board and past Cincinnati Marketing Legends wanted to introduce a new award that recognizes a moment that was not confined to a defined period of time or the parameters of a category. Something that is uniquely Cincinnati that has had an impact outside of our region.
At the 2019 #AMAPinnacleAwards on May 30, we’re excited to announce and honor the recipients of our inaugural Pinnacle Moment Award.
The inaugural Pinnacle Moment is a surprise, so we can’t reveal it here. The anticipation and celebration will unfold live as our host and master of ceremonies, beloved Cincinnati media personality Kathrine Nero, announces a moment that has defined and transformed our city and has had a profound, lasting impact across not only our region but also across the country and even the world.
Need a hint? 2019 isn’t an inaugural year just for this award. And when the winner is announced, we have a hunch the crowd may break out in a chant…or even a song.
Be part of the magic on May 30 at Woodward Theater and on social media using #AMAPinnacleAwards! There are a limited number of tickets left to the marketing party of the year—grab yours before we sell out!
